Using the preset pulley ratio, the NOVI 1200 Supercharger in these Mopar systems produces 7 to 8 psi boost at 6,000 RPM on a lightly modified 340 engine. Horsepower gains range from 30% to 75% as determined by boost levels, engine volumetric efficiency, existing modifications, etc.
Applications: Universal Small Block Mopar V8, including 1967-69 Plymouth Barracuda 318/340/360 and 1967-76 A-Body (e.g. Dart, Duster, Demon, Scamp, Valiant)
Complete Systems have a cast aluminum carburetor enclosure for use with Holley 4150, Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN, or Demon 650 4-bbl carbs with mechanical secondaries, .120 needle & seat, and nitrophyl float set. The enclosure pressurizes the float bowls and throttle shafts for seamless response and correct air/fuel ratio. There are -8AN front and rear fuel inlet ports plus multiple locations for pressure/vacuum connections. Linkage arms, splined shaft, and left/right spherical rod ends provide simple throttle connection/adjustment. To accommodate customization, such as high-rise intake manifolds, Tuner Systems do not have the carb enclosure. Systems also include a 10-rib supercharger drive assembly, required belts & pulleys for use in a V-belt setup, billet aluminum mounting plate for supercharger & alternator, aluminum discharge tube, bypass valve, and high-flow air filter.
Installation Notes
- Throttle cable/arm modification may be required
- An aftermarket ignition amplifier is recommended but not required
- A high-volume boost-referenced fuel pump is required (not included)
- A higher cfm carburetor may be required for custom high-horsepower vehicles
- If a Holley 4150-type carburetor is used, Paxton Air Diffuser #8M011-001 is recommended.
- A fuel line assembly will be required based on your carburetor (e.g. #933-8M110-020 and #933-8M110-030)
- Accessory V-belts will vary per application depending on accessory configuration and supercharger pulley diameters
- Hood modifications may be required. For underhood clearance, measure 7.5" (carb enclosure height) to the top of the intake manifold.
Unleash serious horsepower and torque with the Paxton NOVI 1200 Supercharger Systems designed specifically for Small Block Mopar engines. These supercharger kits are engineered to deliver strong, reliable boost without sacrificing driveability, making them ideal for street, strip, or show builds.
Expect about 7–8 psi of boost at 6,000 RPM on a lightly modified 340 engine with the preset pulley ratios—which translates into as much as 30%–75% gain in power, depending on your existing setup and engine efficiency.
The complete systems come loaded with features: a cast aluminum carburetor enclosure for use with Holley 4150, Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN, or Demon 650 4-barrel carbs; pressurized float bowls and throttle shafts for consistency; -8 AN fuel ports; linkage arms and rod ends; high-flow air filter; discharge tube; bypass valve; and a rugged 10-rib drive setup with the necessary belt and pulley hardware.
For those building a supercharger for small block mopar or wanting to upgrade to a small block mopar supercharger setup, this kit fits: 1967-1976 A-Body Mopars (Dart, Duster, Demon, Scamp, Valiant) and 1967-1969 Barracuda with 318, 340, or 360 cubic inch V-8s.
If you’re running a supercharger for 318, this kit gives you the airflow, reliability, and parts support to get serious gains without guessing. With the right tuning and fuel system, you’ll gain throttle response, torque down low, and big power up top.
