Cast valve covers usually buy you looks at the cost of clearance, and on an LS with a big cam that is exactly the wrong trade. These are die cast in a mould designed to open up the inside height, so the rockers and springs have room to work, and they still carry a raised LSX emblem and a matte black finish that will not fingerprint.
