Proform 66824 Wedge-Locking Header Bolts for Small Block Chevy, Big Block Mopar, AMC, Buick, Oldsmobile, & Pontiac Features:
- Special washers have super-hardened external teeth that grip the bolt head and header surface when torqued to 28+ ft-lbs
- Self-locked configuration prevents bolt-loosening rotation through a wedge-locking action created by matching cams on the washers
- Vibration increases wedge-locking tension, enhancing the bolt's security
- Simple wedge-locking method relies on tension, allowing oil contact to facilitate the wedge effect
- PROFORM Header Bolts can be untightened with a normal wrench, lubricated, and reused during header changes
