- Proform Piston Ring Compressors are adjustable to fit multiple applications and are the right tools needed to make piston installation a snap. Simply place the piston with rings into the end of the ring compressor. Tighten the compressor snugly around the piston to compress the piston rings. Then lay the compressor flat on the cylinder bore and push the piston assembly into the bore.
