Cold air induction is a proven method for increasing power over non-thermally isolated air induction. This process works by keeping incoming air temperatures down, thus increasing the oxygen density and potential power. Another key component to cold air intake systems is the increase in induction air flow with less restrictive air filter media and optimized tubing shape and length. In addition to the 2010-2016 Ford Taurus SHO (with 3.5L EcoBoost V6), this system also works with the following additional 2010-2014 vehicles with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine: Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT.
