Working with both the original and reproduction 1965 Mustang aluminum water pumps without a backing plate, this replica has many of the features available with the factory version. Just like the original, this timing chain cover features the oil dipstick hole, molded-in timing pointer, and mounting holes for the fuel pump. This brand-new, durable cover serves to protect and extend the lifespan of your water pump's timing chain. This is a direct-fit replacement for use with an aluminum water pump without a backing plate, which came stock with 1965 Mustangs with a 260 or 289 engine.
