- Supplied by Simpson. The HANS Device is the most trusted head and neck restraint in the world. The HANS Device was first used in competition in 1986 and has been continually developed and tested to the level of performance it is today. It is the only head and neck restraint that exceeds both the SFI and FIA specifications for performance. Also, the HANS Device is one of only two devices approved for use by NASCAR.
There are two specific models of the HANS Device currently available, the Professional Series and the Sport Series. Professional Series devices are made with high modulous carbon fiber and higher performance epoxy resins to achieve the lowest weight possible. The Sport Series is an injection molded carbon composite and weighs a little more than a like configured Professional model. Either series can be used with SA (predrilled or no hole) and SAH (predrilled threaded hole) helmet systems. All HANS Devices have the same performance that exceeds the stringent SFI and FIA performance parameters. Kits includes anchors, sliding tether, foam padding, Loc-tite, special wrench and instructions. Available with standard post style anchors or with the Quick Click anchors that allow instant connect or disconnect. SFI 38.1 Approved.
