Installing a PA series fuel pump requires 1-1/4 in. of clearance. However, many tanks mount flush against the floor. Welding a recess into your fuel tank provides a solution for routing your fuel lines. This also works for providing a flat surface for those tanks that otherwise would not accept a PA series fuel pump. Simply mark your tank where you want the recess to go and then trim to fit. The recess area is large enough to accept a 5 hole sending unit as well. 18 gauge steel 10 in. x 7 in. with a 2 in. flange on all 4 sides.
