These starters are designed for high-horsepower, high-compression engines in muscle cars, hot rods, trucks, and daily-drivers. Mini denso gear reduction starters feature heavy-duty armatures, premium quality ball bearings, 100% copper band field coils, thicker solenoid contacts and 1-piece steel motor housings, all in-which provide maximum strength, dependability and cranking power. Gear reduction style starters are considerably smaller and lighter than the OE starters and incorporate a mounting block that can be indexed to gain additional clearance for oil pans and headers.
