Ultra-Gate38 External Wastegate
The Turbosmart Ultra-Gate38 is a 38mm external wastegate for street and racing applications, specifically for classic 2 bolt flanges (71mm spacing). Designed with minimum size and maximum flow in mind, the new Ultra-Gate38 is smaller and lighter than previous models & features Turbosmart's unique locking collar design for quick and easy spring changes (from 3 psi to 26 psi available). Features a one-piece Stainless Steel Valve for maximum reliability and our proven Silicon Nomex Diaphragm.
Supplied With: Gaskets, Mounting Bolts, Locking Collar Removal Tool, Valve Seat, 7psi or 14psi Spring (installed), 1/16'' NPT hose barb fittings (5mm), and Port Blanking Plugs.

The Ultra-Gate38HP retains the compactness and lightness synonymous with Turbosmart wastegates, specifically for classic 2 bolt flanges (71mm spacing) and the added bonus of being capable of handling high boost pressures. Only 28mm taller than the standard Ultra-Gate38, these wastegates are ideal for all high boost applications. Utilizing their Locking Collar for quick and easy springs changes (Options from 10 to 40 psi available). Features a one-piece Stainless Steel Valve for maximum reliability and our proven Silicon Nomex Diaphragm.

The most common reason for investing in an external wastegate is fitting an after-market turbo or better control of the boost and consequently the power output of your engine. Additionally, most large frame turbochargers are not equipped with internal wastegate systems. Most tuners will recommend an external wastegate for any engine producing 400hp or more, as running high boost through a factory internal wastegate can overpower the actuator spring, limiting maximum boost level. Aftermarket external wastegates feature bigger inlet and outlet ports, higher pressure springs and bigger actuator diaphragms to effectively control high boost pressure.
