Hyper-Gate45 External Wastegate
The Turbosmart Hyper-Gate45 is a 45mm external wastegate designed with minimum size and maximum flow in mind. Smaller and lighter than the previous model, the new Hyper-Gate45 features a unique locking collar design for reduced size and quicker spring changes. (Options from 3psi to 26psi available). Features Solid 1 Piece coated Stainless Steel Valve and silicon nomex diaphragm proven for performance and reliability.
Supplied with: Inlet and Outlet Stainless Weld Flanges, Inlet and Outlet V-Band Clamps, 1/16'' NPT Hose Barbs (5mm), 1/16'' NPT Port Blanking Plugs, Locking Collar Tool, Valve Seat, 7 psi or 14 psi Spring (installed).

The Hyper-Gate45HP retains the compactness and lightness synonymous with Turbosmart wastegates with the added bonus of being capable of handling high boost pressures. Only 28mm taller than the standard Hyper-Gate45 these wastegates are ideal for all high boost applications (options from 10psi to 40psi base pressure). Feauturing Solid one-piece coated Stainless Steel Valve and silicon nomex diaphragm proven for performance and reliability.

The most common reason for investing in an external wastegate is fitting an after-market turbo or better control of the boost and consequently the power output of your engine. Additionally, most large frame turbochargers are not equipped with internal wastegate systems. Most tuners will recommend an external wastegate for any engine producing 400hp or more, as running high boost through a factory internal wastegate can overpower the actuator spring, limiting maximum boost level. Aftermarket external wastegates feature bigger inlet and outlet ports, higher pressure springs and bigger actuator diaphragms to effectively control high boost pressure.
