Front Frame and Steering Brace for 1983-1992 GM F-Body
- Front Frame and Steering Brace
- 1983-1992 GM F-Body "Wonder Bar"
- Diameter: 1.250"
- Red
The 1983-1992 third generation steering brace, also known as the Wonder Bar, is designed to tie the front right and left subframe together. This tubular set-up bolts directly under the front sway bar, stiffening the front frame, resulting in improved handling, cornering and overall performance. The steering brace strengthens the chassis, taking stress from the steering box area which is well known as a weak area on any third generation F-Body. Steering brace is constructed of 0.250" 1018 mild steel CNC machined mounting points, 1.250" DOM steel tubing with a 0.120" wall fully MIG welded for extreme strength and lasting performance.
Improves Handling, Cornering and Performance
UMI Performance Tubular Frame and Steering Braces are manufactured using 1-1/4" DOM steel tubing with precision cut steel mounting brackets for extreme strength and lasting performance. They are designed to tie the front right and left subframes together adding rigidity to the chassis as well as reducing steering gear movement. The braces bolt directly under the front sway bar to stiffen the front frame for improved handling, cornering and performance. The UMI Performance Tubular Frame and Steering Braces use the factory sway bar mounting points, OEM hardware and will work with OEM sway bar bushings or aftermarket poly mounts for an easy bolt-on installation with no drilling. 100% designed and manufactured with pride in Philipsburg, PA U.S.A.!
