The manifold absolute pressure sensor is a direct replacement for 2000-2009 Volkswagen Pointer with the 1.8L I4 or 2.0L I4 engines. It reports intake manifold pressure to the engine computer as a changing voltage signal, which the computer uses with other inputs to calculate fuel delivery and ignition timing.
