- Vehicle Speed Sensor
Walker Products Vehicle Speed Sensors (VSS) are precision manufactured from premium components in an ISO 9001-2008/TS16949 certified facility. The vehicle speed sensor uses magnetic pulses to measure the speed of the transmission's output shaft and relays this data to the onboard computer. The main use of the date provided by the VSS is for speedometer and cruise control functionality. The computer also uses this information along with other sensor inputs to determine the correct timing for shifting points and torque converter lockup in automatic transmissions.
