How To Install JEGS Sport Star Polished Wheels
The first step in installing JEGS star wheels is mounting tires to them. This requires a tire-mounting machine or tire changer. The wheels and tires also need balanced to prevent vibration while driving. Ideally, the balancing should be done so that the wheel weights are installed on the inside of the wheel, hiding them from view. Next, the included center cap is installed from the rear of the wheel and the correct size lug nuts need to be used, matching the vehicle's wheel studs and with an acorn / tapered / conical style seat. The wheels are then torqued in a "star" or "cross" pattern that evenly tightens them down. The torque specs for aluminum wheels is 70 ft. lbs.
