Electric Fuel Pump
An automotive electric fuel pump is a component that is used to deliver fuel from the fuel tank to the engine. It is typically located inside the fuel tank or just outside the fuel tank (in performance applications) and operates using an electric motor that draws fuel from the tank and pushes it through the fuel lines to the engine. The electric fuel pump functions by creating pressure in the fuel lines that forces fuel to the engine, where it is mixed with air and ignited to provide power. The electric fuel pump is controlled by the vehicle's engine control module, a manual switch, or circuit. Modern electric fuel pumps are typically designed to operate at high pressures and flow rates to meet the demands of modern fuel injection systems.
