Helping to direct exhaust gases and noise away from the engine is the exhaust header. In addition, a performance header exhaust system helps to speed up the flow of gases, and improve how the engine "exhales", resulting in improved power and performance.

When selecting an exhaust header set, it is important to confirm it will fit both the engine and the year, make, and model of the vehicle. In addition, choose the header design that will fit the exhaust you will be using, whether "long-tube", "shorty", "mid-length", or other style. Other options often available include the type of material and finish, such as mild steel or stainless steel construction as well as a ceramic coated or black painted appearance.
