Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Value I bought this engine a little over a month ago. I finally have it outfitted and running on the stand. It looks great, fired right up and has no leaks or other issues to contend with. Looking forward to swapping out the 6 cylinder in my 63 chevy II.

Will this engine fit in my 82 gmc truck and if so...I recently bought hooker headers from Jegs with a 2 1/2 in collector...will this work or do I need to upgrade to 3 in? You guys do add ons to this motor how the customer wants it?

    Asked by: Powerdriven1
The 2 1/2" headers that you have would work great on this engine, it is not required that you upgrade the headers but we will use a 1 5/8" primary into a 3" collector when we run this engine here on the dyno.

Would this motor work in a 1979 Ford f-150?

    Asked by: Rubischko7
This engine is a Small Block Chevy 350 based engine so it would not be a stock replacement for your Ford. But with a lot of time / modification / money, I'm sure you would be able to get this engine to work in a F-150.

    Would this fit a 05 mustang v6

    Asked by: Keyon
Keyon, this is a Chevy V8 350 based engine. There would not be anything in your current setup that would work on this engine.

are the engines Internal or external balance? on the sbc 383 what harmonic balancer do you recommend ?

    Asked by: mike75
This engine is externally weighted front and rear. For the front harmonic balancer we require an externally weighted balancer for a 400 cubic inch engine, 8" diameter. For the flywheel / flexplate we require it to be externally weighted for the late model Chevy 350's with a one piece rear main seal.

how much oil is t he oil pan designed for. I purchased this engine from Jegs, just changed oil and 4 qts comes to the full mark

    Asked by: bob1944
The pan itself on this engine is a four quart oil pan but we do recommend one more for the filter, so we would like to see five total in the system.

Blueprint shows a 65K coil for the distribiutor in their recommendations for this engine. Is this just an upgrade?

    Asked by: 63chevy2
This is the coil that should be in the distributor as it comes from Blueprint.
