Can these headers be installed on a new Blueprint engine while it's being broken in? I don't drive my car very much so 500 miles would be awhile and my mechanic wouldn't be happy.

It may shorten the life of the headers somewhat. The main concern is that you don't want them on there if you are doing the initial break-in of a flat-tappet camshaft, where you spend around 25 minutes varying the rpm in a specific range while the cam and lifters develop their initial wear pattern. That creates a lot of heat in the exhaust and can get the headers red hot. If your crate engine has a hydraulic flat tappet cam break in the cam with manifolds bolted up to it then you can install the headers if you like afterward and not risk so much. If your crate motor has a roller cam then the cam break-in does not apply.
