Race Car Window Nets & Kits

Having a window net in your race vehicle prevents your hands, arms, and body from exiting the roll cage and window area in the event of a crash or rollover. The safest place to be in a crash is completely inside the roll cage. A window net is critical in helping to prevent injury or death during an accident by keeping you from being ejected from the vehicle.

Window nets are required in drag racing when speeds are above 135 mph or if a vehicle runs faster than 10 seconds in the quarter mile. Window nets are also required in round track races like sprint car or NASCAR racing. By having the correct window net installed, the tech checklist before a race has one less thing to check off.

Per the 2021 NHRA drag racing rulebook, Section 6:3 "WINDOW NET", "An SFI 27.1 ribbon-type or mesh-type window net is mandatory on any full-bodied car running 7.49 (*4.49) or quicker (like funny car classes). For full-bodied cars running 7.50 (*4.50) to 9.99 (*6.39) or if vehicle runs 135 mph or faster, a ribbon-type or SFI 27.1 mesh-type window net is mandatory unless otherwise specified by class requirements." The rulebook also states "Window nets must be updated at two-year intervals from the date of manufacture."
