Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cooling fan for my 383ci sbc sprite I've been working on this car for years. I've always hade a overheating issue. 220 degrees after a short period. I tried everything. A triple pass radiator, electric water pump a 16 inch fan but nothing has worked. I switched to this fan at 28 amps and 3000 cfm.. Wow!!!!! It fixed my problem. I fit it to my shroud, wired it with a relay kit and started the car and let it idle for 45 minutes. The car which is a 61 bugeye sprite with a sbc 383ci. Yes it fits. The temp barely reached 185 degrees f. Problem solved after many attempts. The fan says Spal on it which is a Italian company. Who cares. It the highest output of any 16 inch fan unless you buy a brushless. 10 out of 10 rating. Buy it. It's $259 for a reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most powerful fan in this size! Awesome fan. Most CFM in this size. Compare the CFM's. That is horse power in the fan choice, the more CFM the more cooling!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be Cool just repackages Spal Fans The people at Be Cool, I contacted them directly, recommended this fan for my custom truck application. CFM was higher than competitors without an increase in amps. This seemed strange as amps and air flow are directly related. Jegs got the fan to me very quickly. The box said Be Cool but the label on the fan said Spal as did the molded name on the unit. I had talked to Spal earlier and sort of recognized the fan number. Upon checking I realized that this was a racing recommended fan, not intended for street use because the motor is not seal. The Spal representative told me this earlier. Also the Spal cfm spec for this fan was not as high as Be Cool claimed it to be. I promptly returned the fan as it was not what I needed or expected. Non of this was Jegs fault. They provided help in returning the unit and I received my credit in a timely manner. Thank you Jegs !!
