Safe and light steering column mount
Competition Engineering Steering Column Kits are great for a new car build or to replace bulky OE steering columns. Chrome Moly construction makes them lightweight without sacrificing strength. The inner shaft rides in two flanged polymer bushings that mount to an aluminum column tube. There's a grease fitting to keep the bushings lubricated and a stop collar to prevent the shaft from entering the driver's compartment in the event of impact. Each kit includes an SFI-approved quick-release steering hub, a precision needle bearing U-joint, and installation instructions. Welding and fabrication required.
