The new C7 Corvette Z06 cranks out an amazing 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft when it's being pushed to it's limits, causing the catalytic convertor to reach temperatures over 1200°F the equivalent of lava. The oil cooler lines are routed in close proximity to the catalytic convertor causing the engine oil to overheat and putting the internal engine components in danger of failure. The DEI C7 Corvette Oil Cooler Line Heat Shroud is made from a high temperature rated glass fiber fabric with an aluminized outer facing that allows it to withstand 500°F direct contact and 2000°F radiant heat. The convenient hook & loop designed edge allows it to be installed without disconnecting the oil cooler lines. Best of all the end result is greatly reduced radiant heat soak into the oil lines allowing you to enjoy the all out power potential of your Corvette.
