    1404 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1404 duel quads I bought two of these to replace my 600 cfm carter comp carbs that were on my low compression 350, that was way to much carb for my application, the smaller carbs have helped a lot, I should have got them long ago, but better late than never ! Here's a before & after, it's my 55 chevy 210.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1404 Carburator I was pleasantly surprised to find that this carb worked out of the box with very minimal tweaking. So far so good the carb starts my car every time right away regardless of temperature. The choke doesn't seem to be that important I rarely use it. Great experience so far RB

Is this 1404 a 2 stage ?  I'm putting it on a 369ci. Packard straight 8 flathead is this enough cfm. These engines only turn about 3800 max ?

    Asked by: Packard fool
a 500 cfm carb will be more then enough for that engine. edelbrock does not produce different stages of carbs of the same cfm rating. they just have manual choke vs electric. .
