Built to handle the torque of today's modified engines, these high-performance transmissions are available in a 5-speed or 6-speed version. Sometimes stock just isn't enough to hold the torque or your driving style. With some additional parts and minor modifications, you can double a transmission's torque capacity without resorting to an unfriendly street solution. Don't get worked over by your transmission, get the transmission Ford would have used if they built your car.
