    • Features improved shift forks, one-piece counter-shaft, gears made of 4615 steel which increases the torque capacity over that of the M-7003-R58 model
    • Input shaft is 26 spline; output shaft is 31 spline
    • Requires bellhousing M-6392-R58 to install in a 1979-1995 Mustang
    • For 1979-1993 Mustang applications, use M-5059-A crossmember (79-81 will require modification)
    • For 1994-1995 Mustang applications, modify vehicle crossmember, lengthen driveshaft .625" and use clutch fork E6ZZ-7515-A
    • 31 spline driveshaft yoke required, M-4841-A recommended
    • Requires unique clutch disc M-7550-T302 (10.5") designed for use with 26 spline input
    • Can be used in 4.6L applications with bellhousing M-6392-M46 and Clutch Kit M-7560-T46 (11")
    • Transmission uses Synchromesh fluid

    These are the same Tremec HD 5-speed manual transmissions used in the 1995 Mustang Cobra "R" models with the 351 5.8L engines.

    • Built to handle the torque of today's modified engines, these high-performance transmissions are available in a 5-speed or 6-speed version. Sometimes stock just isn't enough to hold the torque or your driving style. With some additional parts and minor modifications, you can double a transmission's torque capacity without resorting to an unfriendly street solution. Don't get worked over by your transmission, get the transmission Ford would have used if they built your car.
