    Swapping my 1987 f150 to carb.  As of now the vehicle is a daily driver would this hei distributor be a good drop in till I start building the truck for drag racing?

    i have a 302 with roller cam out of a 87 grand marquis. it was fuel injected but swapped to carb. will the length of this distributor work. i see that there are ones .5 inches longer also. i dont have the old one to reference. thanks Vito

    the distance from the mounting hold down to the bottom of the housing is 4.25 inches just to clarify? What is the total advance  of this dizzy out of the box? Is the vacuum advance designed to be Manifold vacuum or ported vacuum. going on 347 stroker

    Yes, the distance is 4.25". This distributor will have a advance at approximately 26 degrees out of the box and is best used with a ported vacuum port.

    What are is the distance from the mounting base to the bottom of the distributor housing, and what is the diameter of the distributor cap? Will this distributor clear the runner and Temp Sending unit on a Edelbrock performer intake?
