These transmissions are remanufactured with a performance shift kit and all new bands, clutch plates, steel plates, seals, gaskets, etc. to consistently handle up to 450 horsepower with minimal effort. A rebuilt front pump and recalibrated valve body ensure smooth-running transmissions with lasting reliability. The chrome pan with drain plug (except where noted) makes them look as good as they go!

Will this fit a 1968 chevelle , an how many gears does this have and does it have overdrive ?

    Asked by: Sames
This will fit the Chevelle, you may need to alter the driveshaft length unless you have a 4" tailshaft now. This is a non-overdrive 3 speed transmission.

Which faceplate, dipstick and speedometer gear will I need with this transmission ? It's going behind one of the 350 create motors I bought from Jegs, 290 hp I think before I added aluminum heads, changed cam,.roller rockers, aluminum intake with 650

    Asked by: Clemhobbs 27
This is the recommended dipstick - https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/61595/10002/-1 There are different options for the flexplate depending on the engine - internal or external balance. This is a page of speedometer gears - https://www.jegs.com/p/TCI/TCI-Speedometer-Gears-and-Accessories/762271/10002/-1

I have 1989 Chevy/GMC P30 bread truck box van that got this TH400 in it. I know it got TH400 from the shape of drain pan and the weird angle up front looks just the same like yours. What you think ?

    Asked by: vlastic
Many of those P30 chassis used the TH400 if it is a 3 speed then it will be the TH400.

The instructions mention the deletion for the need of the electric kick down due to shift kit. it appears the connection is still there. should this electric kick down still be installed. is there benefit to installing it along with the vacuum?

    Asked by: Trucks57
It does not need to be installed because of the shift kit being used.

    Will this replace a powerglide in a 63 impala with a 327?

    Asked by: John106
You can install it, but will need a different torque converter, a different crossmember, and a new driveshaft , shifter also.

I have a 1981 Chevy c10 pc Pickup with a 350 engine short block would this be good with it

    Asked by: ChevyMan69
If you are replacing a TH400 transmission, yes. You will want to verify the tailshaft length of your transmission.
