Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the cost Easy fix to a stubborn problem. I'm running a 388 CID Chevy small block with Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake and 750 carb. I was having a lot of trouble trying to tune the carb and get rid of a horrible off idle and part throttle flat spot. Kept playing with step-up rods and step-up springs with no success. This spacer greatly improved the vacuum signal under the carb and got rid of the flat spot. Much more responsive throttle now and crisper part throttle acceleration. It also alleviated my float bowls from boiling dry and hard starting when its really hot out, which was a bonus.

What is the difference between this 15422 spacer and the 15491 spacer.  I have a 1957 312 Y-Block w/stock 4 BBL manifold.  I assume it will fit?  Thanks

    Asked by: 57birdinparadise
These are the same, the 15491 is a newer design. These will both fit a standard 4150 style intake manifold. You will need to verify that your Y-block uses a standard 4150 style base.
