Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well built transmission I’ve had this in my 1996 Trans Am WS6 for a little over a year now and it shift very smoothly, but with the shift kit also changes a lot faster than the stock transmission. Definitely a well built transmission that handles all the abuse I’ve given it!

I'm replacing the turbo 400 in my 71 gto. Will this work for me? What do I need in addition? I have the tci trans controller.

    Asked by: Kas106
This transmission includes the bell-housing bolt pattern to fit Small Block Chevy/Big Block Chevy engines. The conversion to older vehicles will require the use of a transmission controller, special cross-member, driveshaft changes and other modifications (these parts are not included with the transmission). Pontiac will require https://www.jegs.com/i/Trans-Dapt/969/0061/10002/-1 adapter.
