Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer performance Replaced a low stall factory converter in my rat rod with a 355 sbc wand 3.08 rear gear and it went from a dog to a tire burner. Did not have much affect on cruise RPM or gas mileage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good converter for the price. Seems to work good. Haven't put too many miles on it yet but it no longer loads the converter at a stop light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKS GREAT! GREAT VALUE!!! Have this behind a 350 turbo and a 355 with a Lunati Voodoo Hyd roller cam and Edelbrock Aluminum heads. A 3.42 posi rear in my wife's 81 Z28 Camaro. it works flawlessly. I can footbrake it right to 2500 rpm, and it will idle in gear with no struggle. Step into it at about 20-30 mph and it lights up the tires! Great value for a good converter! I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, so this is what it's like to be in the power If your thinking about buying a converter, to stop your truck from shaking, and actually get it into the powerband, this is the one to get. Should've bought it a year ago. Only raised rpm 200 cruising 60mph. 10/10 would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value converter. Got this hooked up between my Blueprint crate motor and TH350, and it works just as advertised. Good, quality piece. Trouble free install, and it stalls to 2500-2600 in my G-body Regal. I have to admit, I wasn't sure what I'd get for this price, but it really is a great value. Thanks Jegs!

I order 3/8-16 1/2 bolts as stated in description. Bolts do not fit. Tread count is off. What is the correct bolt size for this converter?

    Asked by: Jake
The Jegs 555-60400 converter is 3/8-16 thread. We recommend using a tap before installing.

Why does it “reccomend” a different converter for a big block Chevy. I’m looking to install this on a 427 bbc with a TH400.

    Asked by: Abel Garcia
These stall speeds are listed for small block applications only , a bib block engine will stall at a higher speed.

So long as you do not have a TH350C transmission with lockup converter this will fit. If yours has a lockup style converter this will not fit.
