- An open area underneath the plenum chamber (Air Gap) delivers cooler charge air and less heat transfer

Speedmaster 1-147-012 Note:
- Can be used on 1996 and later Vortec engines with some minor modifications - Requires running a short section heater hose from the pipe tapped hole in the front of the manifold to the 5/8 in. hose nipple on right/passenger side of the water pump
