Strange Engineering Ford 9" Carrier Packages are available for 31, 33, or 35-spline street, drag, and circle track applications. Each package includes: an aluminum or steel pinion support, spool, 1350 Series yoke, installation kit, and one of the following Strange Engineering Cases.
Great for applications where weight is an issue but gear set life is not. This lightweight aluminum case is offered for two bore sizes: 3.0625" and 3.25". Both are 20 pounds lighter than Strange's iron cases yet still have more tensile strength than Ford 9" OE cases. Aluminum cases are not recommended for heavy or blown drag cars.
Also offered for 3.0625" and 3.25" bore sizes, these cases are machined from nodular iron and recommended for any vehicle that accepts a 9" housing and 9" gear set. Reinforcing ribs, which were carefully designed to enhance rigidity, are cast with additional material in critical areas.
For street and strip performance vehicles, these iron cases are radial-ribbed for increased strength. In a 3.0625" or 3.25" bore size, this line of cases is clearanced for easy installation of posi units.
