Why is there a small hole through the center of the front yoke, mine is dripping transmission fluid. Ordered new one and they sent me a 1/2 ton truck yoke which doesn't have a hole.

    Asked by: Mitdraw501
It is just how they relieve the air pressure as the yoke is sliding on the the output shaft. some use a relief on the splines and let it go back into the trans,. the ones the vent on the rear or the yoke with a weep hole are considered stronger.
