Bell's First Carbon Composite Helmet Has Made A Comeback!
In 1979 Bell introduced the XFM.1, their first carbon composite helmet, and engineered solely for use in auto racing applications. The XFM.1 was also the first helmet to feature standard fire retardant interior, and it was the introduction of Bell's positive eyeport seal, preventing dirt and dust from entering the helmet.
