Bob Drake 01A-2853 Features:
Our emergency hand-brake cables are in a class by themselves. We’ve taken all of Ford’s original specifications and improved upon them for superior performance and durability. Correct fine-threaded ends are attached to a 1 x 37 steel plow-wire strand core to hold your Ford on even the steepest hills. The flat-wrapped steel casing is wire-wound for extra protection from rocks and road debris. A modern internal polymer sleeve, unavailable to Ford in the 1930’s & ’40’s, encases the cable for smoother, quieter operation and longer cable-life. The cable-conduit ends are securely fastened to sustain a 3,000 pound load without slippage. Original-style asphalt coated fabric or rubber sleeves protect the cable where firewall, steering column and chassis contact where vibration can cause premature wear. Some cables even have an extra steel-conduit sleeve where extreme wear situations exist. Simply the best cables on the market! These heavy-duty cables fit from the brake handle to the junction under the car, where it is joined by the cable 91A-2275 that goes to the rear brake drums.
