Installation Instructions for CP-2101G Chevy Small Block V8 Engine Swap Kit for 1941-1948 Ford car using Non-Chassis Engineering Weld-On Pinto-Mustang based front crossmember.
Note, not to be used with Chassis Engineering Bolt-On IFS! Use only with weld-on.
1. Install crossmember in frame. Remove original steering bracket at this time if not already done.
We recommend using 3/16" boxing plates on this area. Grind any rivets that interfere flush with the frame.
2. Frame adapter will need some fitting to the boxing plates and the new crossmember. With several variables in play, it has proven impossible to create a single sure-size fit.
Fit frame adapters based on these specifications:
3. Make sure mounts are straight and level. Tack in place, then double check all measurements before final weld.
4. Bolt engine mounts to block and install engine. Install cushions as shown
5. The car can now use other Chassis Engineering parts such as transmission kits without modification.
