Installation Instructions for CP-2107 Chevy Small Block V8 Engine Swap Kit for 1932 Ford Car and Pickup Truck. Please read all instructions before starting.
Start with boxing the frame. When boxing the frame, keep frame level front and rear. If the frame is off, it will have a twist and your parts and components will not fit properly.
Use a captenters type level to check the top surface of the frame when the frame is right side up and right side down. Clamp angle iron across top of frame rails, then tack weld to inside frame and installation will be square. Recheck often.
Reinforcing plate goes on outside of frame, then fill gap with weld.
Remember to spot first and recheck for squareness of frame.
Frame adapter will need fitting to the boxing plates. It has proven impossible to ensure an exact fit due to all the variables (different parts, years etc) involved with the installation.
Fit frame adapters to the specifications below:
Dimension A depends on the year of your car, type of firewall used, particular engine model, water pump length and transmission used. It is impossible for us to account for all variations, so responsibility for a proper working measurement is in your own hands.
Make sure mounts are straight and level. Tack in place, then double-check all measurements and do the final weld. All steering and exhaust need to be checked at this time also.
