CP-2202G Small Block Ford V8 Engine Mounting Kit for 1941-1948 Ford (weld-on) with IFS
Weld-on engine mounting kit is used to install a small block Ford V8 into a 1941-1948 Ford. Used with P/M IFS.
Includes:
Installation Instructions for Ford Small Block V8 Engine Swap Kit for 1941-1948 Ford Car using weld-in Pinto-Mustang IFS Front Crossmember
1: Install front Pinto-Mustang crossmember first. We recommend using 3/16" boxing plates.
2. Frame adapters will need fitting to the boxing plates and possibly the new crossmember. It has been proven impossible to furnish an exact fit due to several variables involved in the crossmember and boxing plate installation. Fit the frame adapters according to the following dimensions:
3. Set engine in place and check for clearance. Especially check oil pan to engine clearance. The oil pan can be modified for clearance or a Bronco type oil pan substituted if needed. Bolt engine mounts to block and install engine.
