Please read the full instructions before you start with your part. Start with boxing the frame. When boxing the frame, make sure front and rear are level. If not, the frame will be twisted, and your parts will not fit correctly.
Use a carpenters type level to check the top surface of the frame when the frame is right side up and upside down. Clamp angle iron across top of frame rails, then tack weld to make sure frame and installation will be square. Recheck often.
Reinforcing plate goes on outside of frame, then fill gap with weld. Remember to spot first and recheck for squareness of the frame.
Frame adapter will need fitting to the boxing plates. It has proven impossible to create a sure fit solution, since there are a large amount of variables involved in the installation.
Fit frame adapters as required to the specifications below:
Dimensions A and B depend on the type of car, year, type of firewall, particular engine, waterpump length and transmission used. Dimension A is set forward to clear the steering gear box.
Make sure mounts are straight and level. Tack in place, then double-check all measurements and finish the weld. All steering and exhaust must be checked at this time as well.
Bolt engine mounts to block and install engine.
