Please read the instructions fully before starting.
Start with boxing the frame. When boxing a frame, keep the frame level front and rear. If not, the frame will have a twist to it, and other components will not fit properly. Use a carpenters type level to check top surface of the frame when the frame is right side up and upside down. Clamp angle iron across frame rails then tackweld to ensure frame and installation will be square. Recheck often.
Reinforcing plate goes on outside of frame, then fill gap weld. Remember to spot first then recheck for squareness of frame.
Frame adapter will need fitting to the boxing plates. It has proven impossible to furnish an exact fit as there are multiple variables involved in the installation. Fit frame adapters, as required, to the specifications below.
Dimension A and B will depend on the year of your car, type of firewall, particular engine, waterpump length and tramnsmission used. It is the installers responsibility to find a proper working measurement. Dimension A is set forward to clear the steering gearbox.
Be sure mounts are straight and level. Tack in place then double check all measurements and final weld. All steering and exhaust must be checked at this time also.
