Use the Set-Up Rods to temporarily replace shocks and springs during your IFS installation. This is an easy way to set up your suspension at ride height. This works a lot better than 3 "buddies" standing on the frame to get the height correct.
1. This Setup Rod is intended to temporarily replace shocks and springs for an easy way to estimate your suspension location at ride-height. This is the time to check clearances and estimate brake hose length.
2. Never use this rod as a spring compressor. Do not have this rod in place when driving the vehicle under any circumstances. If working under a vehicle with this set-up rod in place, use a quality jack stand to support the vehicles weight, not this set-up rod.
3. Lower control arms should be level. This will estimate the finished ride height.
4. Do not install springs in a bare frame or incomplete car; Doing so will put an extreme angle on the lower control arm and stress ball joints.
