Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Gaskets are designed to provide the best possible seal for naturally-aspirated, boosted, or nitrous-fed engines. The head gaskets are made from three to five layers of spring stainless steel, offering a stronger base material than standard head gaskets. Viton-coated outer layers create a superior seal not available with other steel or copper gaskets. MLS Cylinder Head Gaskets have excellent rebound qualities, resist corrosive substances, and reduce bore distortion. Sold individually.

Made from spring stainless steel for strong corrosion resistance
Each MLS head gasket is coated with a .001" thick Viton rubber that is bonded to the outer stainless steel layers
Designed to withstand extreme cylinder pressures without requiring machining for the installation of a locking wire

Installation Notes:

A surface finish of 50 RA (roughness average) or finer is recommended for proper gasket seal.
Gaskets are not designed to be used on engines with O-rings or receiver grooves.
Always refer to the manufacturer of the fastener to determine accurate torque values.
Cometic head gaskets go on dry because they are coated with a sealant.
Adding an additional sealer can hinder the performance of an MLS head gasket.
