GM Gen I Small Block V8 MLX Head Gasket; 4.165" Gasket Round Bore. Comprised of mulitple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers utilizing a viton rubber coating. Compressed operating thickness is .040". No steam holes.
Cometic Multilayer Steel (MLS) Gaskets are designed to provide the best possible seal for naturally-aspirated, boosted, or nitrous-fed engines. The head gaskets are made from 3-5 layers of spring stainless steel, offering a stronger base material than standard cylinder head gaskets. The outer layers are Viton-coated stainless steel to create a superior seal not available with other steel or copper gaskets. The gaskets have excellent rebound characteristics and are made to resist corrosive substances. MLS head gaskets reduce bore distortion but still withstand extreme cylinder pressures. Sold individually.
