Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Gaskets are designed to provide the best possible seal for naturally-aspirated, boosted, or nitrous-fed engines. The head gaskets are made from three to five layers of spring stainless steel, offering a stronger base material than standard head gaskets. Viton-coated outer layers create a superior seal not available with other steel or copper gaskets. MLS Cylinder Head Gaskets reduce bore distortion, resist corrosive substances, and have excellent rebound qualities. Sold individually.

Features:
- Made from spring stainless steel for strong corrosion resistance
- Each MLS head gasket is coated with a .001" thick Viton rubber that is bonded to the outer stainless steel layers
- Designed to withstand extreme cylinder pressures without requiring machining for the installation of a locking wire
Installation Notes:
- A surface finish of 50 RA (roughness average) or finer is recommended for proper gasket seal.
- Gaskets are not designed to be used on engines with O-rings or receiver grooves.
- Always refer to the manufacturer of the fastener to determine accurate torque values.
- Cometic head gaskets go on dry because they are coated with a sealant.
- Adding an additional sealer can hinder the performance of an MLS head gasket.
