The Dorman B80026XL front upper ball joint is a direct-fit replacement for 1980-2022 Ford F-350, F-250, F-450 Super Duty, Bronco, Excursion, F-150, F-250 Super Duty, F-250 HD & 1994-1999 Dodge Ram 3500, Ram 2500, Ram 4000. It forms the pivot between the control arm and steering knuckle, carrying vehicle weight while letting the suspension travel and the wheel steer. Excess ball joint play leads to clunks, vague steering and uneven tire wear, so a worn joint should be replaced before it separates. It is built from steel.
