Calibrating a Performer carburetor is a matter of matching the jet, rod and spring to your engine and altitude rather than guessing at the idle mixture screws. This kit supplies the range: three jet sizes, three metering rod combinations and five step-up springs, so the part-throttle and power-enrichment points can be moved where the engine actually wants them and then left alone.

Edelbrock 1487 Calibration Kit Contents:

• Metering jets in .095, .098 and .101.
• Metering rods in .070 x .037, .073 x .042 and .073 x .047.
• Step-up springs rated 3 in. Hg blue, 4 in. Hg yellow, 5 in. Hg orange, 7 in. Hg pink and 8 in. Hg silver.
• Specifically for part number 1406 carburetors.
• Sold as a kit. Change one variable at a time and road test between steps.
