The HP Tuners CORE COR-ECU-000 is a standalone engine control unit built for GM Gen III/IV LS V8 swaps and high-performance builds that have outgrown the limits of a factory ECU. It replaces the OEM computer entirely, giving the tuner direct control over ignition, injection, and output stages instead of working around factory-imposed restrictions. Paired with HP Tuners VCM Live software, the CORE unit is intended for engine builders running heavily modified 4.8L-7.0L LS platforms in drag, circuit, or off-road applications where flexibility in fueling, ignition, and boost strategy matters more than OEM-style plug-and-play simplicity.

HP Tuners COR-ECU-000 Features:

• Controls up to 16 fuel injectors and 8 coil packs for sequential injection and spark on Gen III/IV LS engines.
• Includes integrated transmission control along with traction control, launch control, and progressive nitrous control.
• Supports flex fuel tuning, dual throttle body setups, and two built-in wideband lambda controllers.
• Logs up to 150 channels of data internally at 1kHz and communicates over three CAN networks plus Ethernet.
• Compatible with both 24x/1x and 58x/4x reluctor wheel configurations for Gen III and Gen IV LS blocks.

A CORE-compatible wiring harness (sold separately) is required to connect the ECU to the vehicle injectors, coils, and sensors, with drive-by-cable and drive-by-wire options available depending on the LS generation being tuned.
