The HPT-BAL-002 wideband kit adds CAN Bus digital messaging on top of the same standalone air-fuel ratio monitoring found in HP Tuners' analog Ballenger kits, letting the display controller communicate its readings as configurable CAN or OBDII messages instead of, or alongside, a simple analog voltage. PC software handles the message-structure programming directly, so no additional adapters or bench equipment are needed to set up the specific CAN messaging a tuning software or data system expects.

HP Tuners HPT-BAL-002 Features:

• Transmits air-fuel ratio data as fully configurable CAN Bus or OBDII messages using the included PC programming software.
• Reads air-fuel ratio from 9.0:1 to 16.0:1 with 0.1 resolution using an NTK production-grade sensor.
• Also outputs a standard 0 to 5 V analog signal for compatibility with gauges and data loggers that do not read CAN.
• Accepts 11 to 28 V input power, including 24 V systems, and includes a programmable CAN termination resistor.

HP Tuners HPT-BAL-002 Kit Contents:

• AFR500CANv3 digital display controller.
• CAN flying lead and USB programming harness.
• 13 ft. wiring harness with sealed connections.
• NTK production-grade wideband sensor.
• Weld-in steel exhaust boss and plug.
• Installation, troubleshooting, and tuning manual with CAN-specific addendum.

A PC connected through the included USB programming harness is required to configure the CAN or OBDII message structure for the specific tuning software or data system in use.
