This cylinder head is a stock replacement on 1992-2001 5.2L Magnum and 1993-2003 5.9L Magnum engines. It can also be used on 1964-1991 small block Mopar engines, but must be used with the following conversion parts:

Flat top or dished pistons (small 62 cc closed chamber on head)
10-Bolt Magnum Valve Covers 312-P5007611AB & Gasket 312-P5249660
Magnum Rocker Arms 312-P4876050 (8 required) or Similar
Hollow Tube Style 5/16" Hardened Pushrods (oils heads) with Approx. Length = 7.625"
Hydraulic Flat Tappet Style Camshaft
AMC V8 Style Tappets with Oil Passage (oils heads) 312-P4529220AB or Similar (for hydraulic flat tappet cam only)
1964-1991 Small Block Intake Manifold

Minor machining may be required for pushrod & rocker arm clearance. The pushrods and tappets must have hollow oil passages since Magnum heads are oiled through these components.

Cast Iron Replacement Heads for Magnum 5.2L/5.9L Engines

Stock Mopar Magnum Cylinder Heads have induction hardened exhaust valve seats that are prone to cracking. To fix the problem, JEGS replacement cast iron Cylinder Heads incorporate stronger exhaust valve seats.
